Winter 2025-2026 Natural Wine Salons
A calendar of upcoming natural wine salons for December 2025 and January - February 2026. Plus: my 2024 vintage of wines from abandoned vineyards in the Languedoc.

Winter is upon us, despite unseasonably warm weather in much of France. So it’s time for another meticulous round-up of forthcoming natural wine salons, handily assembled in one post for minimal click-throughs.
The salon calendar below covers December 2025 and January - February 2026. Much information is still to-be-confirmed; please check back on this post on the Substack for further updates before booking any travel. (Organizers: if I’ve left anything out, please get in touch!)
Noteworthy salons this season include: the SALON SALLE A MANGER held on Friday January 30th just outside Rablay-sur-Layon, where the organizers kindly invited my Moravian collaborators Martin Vajčner and Aleš Kovář to present their wines in the Loire for the first time (I’ll be there to help translate); Gianmarco Antonuzzi’s IL ETAIT UNE FOIS salon, which returns to Longuenée en Anjou on Saturday January 31st, following what was by all accounts a successful first edition last year; and January 28th’s pan-Ardèchois blowout UN MERCREDI EN ARDECHE, which, in a just world, would attract the kind of fandom and attention lately paid to, say, Le Nez Dans Le Vert. (Few regions compare to Ardèche nowadays when it comes to wildly undervalued, age-worthy natural white wine.)
I would be remiss not to remark on certain notable absences from the calendar below. The same period in 2024-2025 saw a profusion of new satellite salons arise, notably in the Gard and the Loire; few seem to be reappearing on the calendar this year. The enduring market slowdown has somewhat reorganized the natural wine salon landscape. Rather than scouting out new estates at new salons, importers are prioritizing existing relationships; meanwhile, more metropolitan restaurant buyers appear all too ready to let vignerons come to them, rather than doing their own research travel within wine regions. This is to say, it’s really not an easy time to be a newly-established vigneron, particularly outside the marquee regions. Something to bear in mind when looking at a wine list these days. Support the upstarts!
Lastly, here’s a bonus post for subscribers:
A new REPORT on my 2024 VINTAGE of wines from ABANDONED VINEYARDS in the LANGUEDOC. It’s the FIRST TIME I’ll be ACTUALLY SELLING a TINY QUANTITY. Read here.
Still to come before the end of 2025: more DROPLETS, my TEN NATURAL WINE FASCINATIONS OF 2025, and, depending on how fast I can write, a few more reports on Alsace, and some Jura-related news.
Santé!

Has Mercredi Ardeche been replaced by ‘Le nature en Ardeche’ ? Or diff fair ?
